Local SEO

Local SEO: be the business people find when they are ready to choose.

Local search happens close to the decision. Inspiry Solutions helps businesses get found in Google Maps, the local map pack and location-based results, then turn that visibility into calls, enquiries and visits.

Local signals matter.

  2. 2Riverside Exteriors4.7(128)1.1 miCloser.

Proximity alone does not win the result.Relevance + trust + reviews = more customers.

The local visibility gap

Competitors can be closer to the customer without being closer geographically.

In local search it's not just about distance. It's about how complete, relevant and trusted your online presence is.

Same market.
Different visibility.

They may be easier to find, even if they are not closer.

The system

What actually drives local visibility.

Six signals, one outcome. Weaken any of them and the others have to work harder.

01Business profileCategories, services, hours, photos
02Location relevanceService areas, proximity, local intent
03Local landing pagesUnique content, local proof, service relevance
04ReviewsVolume, recency, what customers mention
05Local authorityMentions, links, local references

Local visibility

Found · Chosen · Contacted

One weak signal creates pressure elsewhere.

All six signals feed one outcome.

Google Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile is often the first website people see.

Most local decisions happen in Google Search and Maps before anyone reaches your site. Categories, services, hours, photos and review responses decide whether you make the shortlist.

Location pages

One generic service page cannot explain every market you serve.

What the signals build

Customer confidence

Search engines read the same words your customers do.

Consistency

One business should look like one business everywhere.

Consistent name, address and phone details (NAP) across your website, Google Business Profile and directory citations build trust, improve local rankings and turn more searches into customers.

Same business. Greater opportunity.

Local audit

First, we find out who owns the local results.

We benchmark the searches that actually bring enquiries, then separate the visibility problem from the conversion problem.

Illustrative benchmark for explanation only

Service + city“roofing contractor Leeds”Not in map packPage 2 organic
Near me“roof repairs near me”Position 3Few reviews
Suburb“flat roofing Headingley”No local pageCompetitor owns it
Branded“acme roofing leeds”Position 1Details inconsistent

What this tells us

  • Competitors own the map pack for the highest-intent searches
  • Location pages are missing for the suburbs that convert
  • Review signals are thin and out of date
  • Business information needs aligning across sources

Questions

Local SEO questions.

Can you optimise our Google Business Profile?

Yes. We work through categories, services, hours, photos, service areas and review responses, plus the website signals that support the profile, so Google has a complete and consistent picture of your business.

Do we need a page for every location?

Only where you genuinely serve and can say something specific. A useful location page covers the services offered there, local proof and a clear call to action. A thin page per town, with the city name swapped in, does more harm than good.

Can you help multi-location businesses?

Yes. Inspiry Solutions builds a location architecture where the brand sits above the locations and each location page covers only the services it offers, so the site scales into new markets without duplicated content.

Do reviews affect local visibility?

Yes. Reviews influence both visibility in the map pack and whether someone chooses you. Volume, recency, what reviews mention and how you respond all matter, which is why we set up a review process that keeps running.

Can you guarantee map pack rankings?

No, and nobody credible can. Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence (opens in a new tab), and distance, competitors and Google's own changes are outside anyone's control. We improve the signals we control, such as your profile, pages, reviews and citations, and measure what changes.

Do you build location landing pages?

Yes. We design and build location pages as part of the site rather than bolting them on, with a clean structure, internal links and local proof, so they can rank and turn visits into calls and enquiries.

Can you fix an existing local SEO setup?

Yes. Most of our local SEO work starts by untangling something already in place, such as duplicate listings, inconsistent business details or thin location pages, before building on what already works.

Sound familiar?

Are competitors appearing where your customers are looking?

Missing

Your business does not appear in the map pack at all.

Outranked

Competitors dominate the locations that matter most.

Underperforming

You get the visibility, but not enough enquiries.

Each one is a local visibility problem. That is what we fix.
